The Goddess of Summer

The Goddess of Summer

The Goddess of Summer has truly blessed Sydney.

Summer in Sydney can be simply magical. Spend a Sunday morning strolling in the cool shadows of the trees at the Royal Botanic Gardens, enjoying the glorious summer sunshine dancing on the lush green foliage. Listen to the birds singing. Feast your eyes on the colourful blossoms filling the boughs. Stop and smell the roses in the Palace Rose Garden.

And do not forget to pay homage to the Goddess of Summer, a gleaming white marble statue imported from Italy in 1883, depicting a young girl holding a scythe and a bunch of fresh-cut lilies, now standing at the top of the Palace Garden Steps - a timeless monument to the beauty and romance of Sydney’s summer.
